A popular holiday destination of tourists for cruising, diving, snorkeling, surfing,water sports and world-class spas.  Exotic, secluded island resorts with beautiful beaches.

Own language is spoken with its own unique orthography called Dhivehi. English is used widely in commerce and education


Located at the equator all year through its sunny and bright the temperature rarely varies. Some rain are experienced between May and Nov.

Fishing is the main industry. Fish cans are exported to many countries.

 
Although some fruits and vegetables are grown locally everything is imported.

  4. Hello?! You live in PARADISE! I need a vacation! Moving on though...

    I'm glad I've found your site. Rather, I'm glad you found my site, and now... voila! With a wee one of my own, autism is now a relevant something/discussion. In fact, I'm educating myself on the condition (if that's how you even describe it), so as to be aware of any indicators my child might exhibit.

    If you don't mind, when did you first notice signs of autism in your kiddo? Also, what were the tell-tale signs, if any, you observed?

    Thanks for your compliment yes my country is naturally very beautiful.

    As a baby my son did not babble and point out but everything else was quite normal but later he developed more features. When he did not start talking by 3 we took him to doctor and he was diagnosed I have written in detail about it in my post when my son drifted into autism http://especialsomeone.blogspot.com/2011/02/when-my-son-drifted-to-autism.html
